Game Info
We have 5 missions/scenarios set up for this OP. All coordinated with movie scenes. I prefer not to give out to much information at this point, but more will be coming as we start getting closer to the finalized date. All I can tell you right now is that we are planning the OP to align very closely to the movie; and missions that would transfer to Airsoft from the movie.

There will be a point and money system that promises to be quite challenging and fun for both sides, and all of the missions have side "bonuses" or extra objectives to make it all the more fun.

We are aware that most of the Red Dawn OPS put on, have a hard time making it fair for the Wolverines. Since the wolverines must lose in game play, we have come up with a way for us to follow the movie and have the Wolverines lose in game play, but have a chance to actually win with our newly developed point system. Our game planners have worked hard on this to create the best scenarios that promise to play out close to the movie and create a balanced challenge for both sides.



JTAG Rules & Regulations



We require everyone to be 12yrs old or older, and have the waivers and coduct of conduct signed before being allowed to play. If you have already signed the Code Of Conduct and the Joplin Airsoft waiver, you will not have to sign them again. However, you WILL be required to have the land owner waiver signed.



Different Guns have different velocities and so have different engagement distances and must be regarded at all times. If a player does not respect the engagement distance for their gun then they will be warned for first offense then kicked off the field for a length of time and may also no longer be allowed to use their gun on field. If the instance is serious enough then the player will be banned for an undetermined length of time, even for a first offense. During this OP we have a FPS limit of 400fps with .2g bbs. Special exceptions made for Snipers.



Minimum Engagement Distances

301> = 20ft
301-350 = 30ft
351-375 = 40ft
375+ = 50ft

450+ = 80ft (*special rule for sniper class only)


General Rules:
Your ammo will be provided for most of the missions throughout the game. Only the first mission will you need any ammo and it will be limited to 200 rounds. Therefore do not be trying to bring your own ammo onto the field.

Allowed (limited per scenario rules):

-Airsoft Grenades (No "Dummy" grenades will be allowed for play)
-M203
-RPG
-Cold smoke
-Mines/Claymores



Not Allowed:
-Hot smoke (fire smoke)
-Pyros / flares



Special Classes:

Sniper - Sniper class is any gun that has been upgraded (400+fps) for accuracy and
has a scope or optical device attached and/or bipod equipped and is fired with
single shots (semi or bolt action). Limit of 2 snipers on the Communist Team, and 1 for the Wolverines.



Machine Gunner - A Machine Gunner is any gun that has 600 or more rounds in a
single magazine; this is usually a certain type of gun. Machine Gunners are limited
to 1 per every 5 players on field.



TEAMS:

For ease of identifying one team from another, JTAG has adopted the airsoft mantra of 2 teams, one green and one tan. In this OP the Communists will be tan based, and the Wolverines will be green based. We will allow civilian outfits so long as the fit in the tan or green base, as we understand not everyone has camo. You are allowed to wear Tac. gear of a different color, as long as your base color fits into your team assignment.

Ah very cool. Saw the movie a while back and it really caught my eye. Glad to see someone figured out how to make a legit OP out of it.

You know, that movie was filmed about 70 miles north of here in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Just an interesting fact for you!

Hey guess what, I just found out there's gonna be a Red Dawn REMAKE. (movie)

COME ON! going to suck since it's not in Colorado, you know, the main place the movie took place, including most of the fighting, finding the downed bomber pilot, killing the dead, fighting the Russian troops blah blah blah.

Anyways, Colorado has one major op every year, that is 5 times more expensive and in the middle of no wear with nothing but hills trees, and field. Haha it doesn't even have a camp ground.

anyways back to the op, from what it sounds it's not going to be that great of an op, every Red Dawn based op I have ever seen, or gone to turns into being like a halo game, you run around and shoot everybody. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but it almost impossible to pull of with a large amount of people. Most of you probably recall, there wasn't much fighting in the movie at all, the wolverines killed them 5 (I think) Russian troops, and fought there, other then that they mostly sat around and BSd. Then blowing up that tank. really not much fighting

we don't really plan on moving to colorado for this OP.... even then it'll improve each year just as everyother OP does

The Wolverines are going to be made up of the core of JTAG minus 2 people due to them being commanders of russia
so its going to be 8-10 (depending of how well the wolverines do) vs. 15-20 russians or more
we've picked a area we think suited for a OP like this and each mission has been gone through by the core of JTAG over and over and thought out to
we're trying to make it as best as possible
