| There are a few different airsoft mines on the market...but..quite honestly, I believe a mine to be useless.
don't waste your money. _________________ "Airsoft is a lot like drinking. It starts off with just a few shots, but before you know it you're lying on the ground yelling for help." |

| yeah, you have to step directly on the pin to release the pellets. in a field situation there's an incredibly small chance anyone would step on it. |

| there's a couple of really crappy ones on airsoft gi, but they're about as big as your foot so when u step on it the bbs fly up on the bottom of ur shoe. |

| there are several models of clamore mines out there that work very well if used properly. in a defencive battle or in an ambush they can be very effective. in an assalt they are worthless. so if want mines get clamores used properly they can add a little more realism to your wars. |

| If you really wanted some airsoft mines, make some. Id just use a large round tube only a couple inches high, a spring inside, spraypainted plastic wrap, something to go on the end of the spring to hold the BBs, and something to hold down the spring. Then, just place them and string the string back to your position. you could even put a stake in the side and stake it into the ground like a claymore. all you have to do is pull the string enough to yank the pin out and you made a cheap airsoft claymore/mine. |

| You can do a claymore mine.
Here is a simple step-by-step video
Everything used to build it can be found in one store.. |

| That is an awesome idea for a claymore. I already have all the materials and tools I'd need except traps and tactically-colored paint. |

| Pssh I don't even have enough time right now to do all the things I'm SUPPOSED to be doing. I really shouldn't be on the forum every day. My last project was a couple weeks ago, made a silencer for my AK-47 Spetsnaz. It's got the short barrel with the orange tip that doesn't come off, so I wanted something to cover it. Eventually I'll get around to taking pics of my full loadout for the pics/vids section and post a tutorial for the silencer. |

| Those are rat traps. And usually every hardware store would have them. |

| OK I can never stay away from a good project. Went down to the Home Depot today and got a couple traps and a hinge that I realized I didn't have after all.
I went to the self-check-out and started scanning my items, first item being one of three cans of spray paint. Little window comes up on the interface that says someone needs to check my ID. Apparently, you need to be 18 to get a goram can of spray paint around here, thanks to some punk kids who thought it would be great fun to huff spray paint and died from it.
The lady who checked my ID was very apologetic, and I'm like "Eh, it happens". A bit sad that I'm getting used to going places and ending up not being able to buy things because I'm not 18 yet. A responsible, intrepid, largely autonomous 17-year-old can't get so much as a can of spray paint. Oh well, I guess they don't want my money anyway, do they?
So now I'm just tinkering with these traps and trying not to break any of my fingers. Soon I'll have to round up some wood and fishing line and all my fasteners and tools and actually put it together. |

| Yea just ask around for scrap plywood.
You can also make the same style trap from a outdoor metal circuit box and two metal tent stakes. |
