On another forum I'm on, we have a "AAR" section for After-Action Reports. I think it would be cool to have one here. Share your thoughts on it! Smile

I think it would be nice, but it won't work out too well. Because this isn't a community forum (meaning a forum for a specific state etc)

So many people will be reluctant to share their battles, because no one can relate about what they saw.

i.e. "oh yeah dude i saw that, i saw you walk up right behind him and tap him on the should and say surrender"
I like to talk to people about what happened who were there. So we can relate on things. "oh yeah what happened to our objective midgame?" etc

We often do this now in 'battle scars'

Not a fan of the majority of AAR's that I've seen on this forum and others...

Honestly, I could care less "how many kills you got" and "what you thought was totally rad". Certainly, if you post videos or pictures...do provide a caption and a few sentences about the event. But don't go off on these big long stories about how awesome you are and how great your $N1P3R $K1LLZ are...so many of those that I've seen have a large bullshit to truth ratio.

So on that note, I am completely against a formal AAR section.
Do as we do now. Throw it in the battle scars or lounge.

Really one of the only good one I've seen lately was M-14's...cuz there were some \"Watch your language\" sexy pictures.

Like any other piece of literature: If there ain't pictures, it ain't getting read.
